Collins Group is a New York based private real estate investment firm with a focus on multifamily properties in the southeast. Founded in 2001, Collins Group has successfully bought and sold in excess of 12,000 units in Florida, Georgia, Alabama & Tennessee and is a well-known premier player in those markets. Their expertise in employing successful value added strategies allows them to build additional value in their properties as evidenced by profitable dispositions and re-finance results from their investments. Collins enjoys long-standing and loyal strategic relationships with top lenders, management firms, and the upper echelon of the brokerage community.

Collins is structured as the key principal in their investment groups, and acts as their asset manager. Day to day management duties are conducted by one of the largest and most prestigious management firms in the United States. Collins Group staff closely supervises all management activities with frequent on-site visits, and constant daily communications with on-site management. All activities that relate to investors, lenders, legal, accounting and insurance are handled directly out of the Collins Group’s Brooklyn, New York headquarters.

In 2016, Collins Group closed on the acquisition of four Class A apartment communities in the greater Atlanta area, all of which were constructed between 1990-2008. Collins Group also sold a 680 unit apartment community in Marietta, Georgia that had been purchased in 2005. This property had experienced a highly successful value add implementation in the three years prior to sale. Additionally, Collins Group sold a portfolio of 1,166 units in Knoxville, Tennessee in late 2017. This portfolio had successfully undergone a similar value add strategy in the years prior to sale.

At the helm of Collins Group is veteran investor Ari Parnes, who has been an active real estate operator since 1985. Mr. Parnes has built an expertise in multifamily investments with portfolios owned, managed, bought and sold in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington D.C. and the greater Southeast.
